Morning Lovelies,

I hope you’ve all had an amazing weekend because I certainly did. I spent my weekend in Mosquito Island in Lami….Yes, you read right, Mosquito Island. The Island’s native name is Nukumaroriko Island but it was nicknamed Mosquito Island by the locals. It is about a fifteen minute bus ride from the city centre and a five minute boat ride from Novotel in Lami.

The weather was slightly wet, it rained all day Saturday but the fun did not stop. We swam, collected clams to eat, played volleyball and dived from a tug boat docked nearby thanks to the lovely sea men. The water was a mixture of warm and cold due to the fresh water river that feeds the ocean near this particular island. As it was low tide when we arrived, we were able to search for clams in the sand to eat fresh with lemon and chilli…Yum!

I want to thank my friend and her family for making my weekend so memorable…you know who you are 🙂
