So the past few days I got to travel for work to a quaint little known as Levuka town. This town is located on the eastern coast of Ovalau island which is part of the Lomaiviti group of Islands in Fiji. Picture this, the town feels like it is frozen in time. From the charming cottages to the picturesque monuments, the town gives a feeling of old country from a time when European colonial rule was expanding their reach in the pacific.
Levuka town is not only known as the first UNESCO certified world heritage site in Fiji, but also as the first capital. The town is working on restoring the buildings to their former glory as some of the buildings have been damaged due to old age while others due to cyclone Winston.
